Christmas at East Cheshire NHS Charity
Bringing a little extra cheer to those who need it most over the festive period
This Christmas we’re asking our local community to help us spread some festive cheer by making a donation to East Cheshire NHS Charity Priority Appeal. You could donate the cost of a present, fundraise at work, compete to see who has the best festive knit with our Christmas Jumper Day event or donate in lieu of Christmas cards…the opportunities are endless!
This Christmas instead of donating physical gifts such as toys and chocolates to our patients and staff, please consider making a virtual donation. You can choose to support any of our hospitals, wards or departments.
Show your support for the patients and staff at East Cheshire NHS this Christmas by making a donation today.

This Christmas, we’re calling on all knitters, both seasoned and new, to join our special knitting appeal for chocolate orange cosies! These delightful little covers not only add a festive touch to a classic treat but also bring warmth and joy to those who receive them.
By participating in this appeal, you’ll be helping us create a unique and heartwarming gift that can be sold to raise funds for our local NHS charity. Every cosy you knit will contribute to supporting essential healthcare services, providing much-needed equipment, and ensuring that our dedicated NHS staff can continue their incredible work.
There are no restrictions on the design for the knitted pattern, we just ask that it fits a chocolate orange.
Please send all knitted designs to Fundraising Department, New Alderley House, Victoria road, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK10 3BL.
Donation criteria
If you are planning on bringing a donation of selection boxes or toys to the hospital, please get in touch with the fundraising team as soon as you start your collection so we can ensure we are able accept and distribute these in time for Christmas and celebrate your donation.
Whilst we are incredibly grateful for the gifts that are donated to us, we are not able to accept everything due to hospital policies and health and safety guidelines so it’s important you speak to us first.
Guidelines for gift donations:
- No soft toys
- Toys must be clean and in good condition, ideally brand new and in the box
- No violent or war themed games
- Please don’t gift wrap presents – all items will be wrapped by staff, parents or guardians
However you decide to support us over the festive period, we’d like to say a big thank you for your generosity and for helping patients who will be in our care this Christmas.
We wish to wish you, your family and loved ones a very Merry Christmas.
