Macclesfield Pancake Race
Tuesday 13th February 2024
Macclesfield’s annual pancake day race takes place on Shrove Tuesday every year. Competing teams run a relay race up and down a short course between the Town Hall and Mill Street, while flipping a pancake in a frying pan!
There are lots of prizes up for offer, including an award for the best fancy dress. Our local radio station Silk FM will be on hand to keep the crowds entertained.
Altrincham 10K
Sunday 1st September 2024
Starting and finishing in the centre of Altrincham Town, take the unique opportunity to run a 10k around the closed roads of Altrincham on 1st September 2024.
The event village and start line are within walking distance from the metro, making this event easily accessible for all.
Splash of Pink does Vegas Breast Cancer Ball

Splash of Pink does Vegas will take place at Shrigley Hall Hotel and Spa on Saturday 21st September.
Macclesfield Running Festival
Sunday 27th October 2024
Join team #EastCheshireNHS for the return of the 5k, 10k & Half Marathon on 27th October 2024! Be among thousands of fellow runners chasing down a personal best while supporting your local NHS Charity.
Enjoy a fully road closed half marathon, 10k and 5k races, starting and finishing in the historic town of Macclesfield and heading out into the Cheshire countryside.

£10 could buy art and crafts activities for patients
£25 could buy tea and coffee and treats for staff on wards
£50 could could go towards activities for dementia patients, to reduce boredom and improve mood
£100 could go towards additional patient comforts, such as parental beds on the children’s ward
£150 could go towards specialist equipment
