East Cheshire NHS Charity is offering free places in Macclesfield Running Festival 2023. This follows the announcement that Macclesfield Running Festival has pledged East Cheshire NHS Charity as their official charity partner for 2023.
The family event, which is previously known as ‘Run Macc Fest’, is organised by RunThrough.co.uk and is hosted in partnership with Macclesfield Harriers and Athletic Club. It takes place on Sunday 29th October and offers distances of 5k, 10k with half marathon places also available. Runners will pass through the historic town of Macclesfield and then head out into the Cheshire Countryside.
The charity has a limited number of FREE charity places available, so get in early and support your local NHS charity today. To secure one of the limited free places, the charity asks that you fundraise for East Cheshire NHS Charity. For the 5K place they ask for a £100 fundraising target, for the 10K race they ask you to aim for £150 and for the Half Marathon they’re aiming for £250.
Lily Preston, Fundraising and Events Manager at East Cheshire NHS Charity said, “We’re so excited to be partnering with Macclesfield Running Festival, and delighted to be offering the local community a limited number of free places in this year’s event. Please help us spread the word to sign up today to get involved! It’s going to be a brilliant event and a great opportunity for friends, family members and businesses to come together and support their local NHS charity.”.
The RunThrough team said, “RunThrough are proud to be supporting East Cheshire NHS Charity at this year’s Macclesfield Running Festival. We are aware that running events not only have an incredibly positive impact on the participants themselves, but there is also a far wider impact on local charities when working together to engage and support the local community.”
East Cheshire NHS Charity goes above and beyond standard Government funding to make your local NHS that extra special. From supporting staff health and wellbeing to providing toys to brighten up our young patients’ days to making long stay patients feel more at home – their mission is to make a visible difference.
