50K Your Way
January 2026
Throughout January 2026, take on the challenge to complete 50 kilometres in your own way. Walk, run, cycle, swim, row or wheel—every kilometre counts and every participant makes a real difference.
It’s inclusive, flexible, and suitable for all fitness levels. Whether you’re an experienced runner or just starting out, this challenge is about moving your body and supporting a meaningful cause.
Macclesfield Pancake Race
Tuesday 17th February 2026
Macclesfield’s annual pancake day race takes place on Shrove Tuesday every year. Competing teams run a relay race up and down a short course between the Town Hall and Mill Street, while flipping a pancake in a frying pan!
There are lots of prizes up for offer, including an award for the best fancy dress. Our local radio station Silk FM will be on hand to keep the crowds entertained.
Barcelona Half and Full Marathon 2026
Friday 13th March 2026
Ready to take on one of Europe’s most beautiful road marathons?
Absorb the city’s history and culture on a central urban route past iconic landmarks. Highlights include Gaudi’s famous architecture, the bustling Port Olimpic and the picturesque seafront.
You must be at least 18 years old to run the Barcelona Marathon.

With your help, we can enhance care, experiences and outcomes for thousands of patients every year. Our incredible supporters have made a difference for departments of their choice, such as the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and contributed to new medical equipment, patient waiting areas, staff wellbeing and more!
Your support makes a difference
£10 could buy art and crafts activities for patients
£25 could buy tea and coffee and treats for staff on wards
£50 could could go towards activities for dementia patients, to reduce boredom and improve mood
£100 could go towards additional patient comforts, such as parental beds on the children’s ward
£150 could go towards specialist equipment
The impact we’ve had so far
Thanks to the generous contributions from our local community and the hard work of our amazing volunteers, we have already made a huge impact on patient care in East Cheshire. Just a few of the ways we’ve helped our local NHS services go the extra mile include:
